Department of Marketing and Advertisement was established within Vocational Training School of Atca at Adnan Menderes University in 2011. Department's aim was defined as the advancement of knowledge in the interdisciplinary field of marketing, advertisement and public relations and educating students to be competent, skillful, active, self aware, critical and responsible citizens of the world they will inherit.
History
Department of Marketing and Advertisement was established within Vocational Training School of Atca at Adnan Menderes University in 2011.
Mission
The mission of deparment is as follow: • Educating individuals who endorse our institutional values, who respect ethical standards, who are environmentally conscious, who can think critically and who, with their academic and cultural formation and self confidence, are versatile, creative and capable of being successfully employed in academic institutions and in public or private sectors. • Generating universal knowledge and contributing to critical thinking, science and technology while serving humanity • Expanding the scientific horizons in Turkey and contributing to the insitutionalization of science, art and culture in our society.

Department vision is achieving international excellence in education and research and becoming a “Progressive”, sustainable university. Purpose
Department's aim was defined as the advancement of knowledge in the interdisciplinary field of marketing, advertisement and public relations and educating students to be competent, skillful, active, self aware, critical and responsible citizens of the world they will inherit. The programme educates versatile P.R. practitioners with the knowledge, skills, ability and experience, who can perform in the field of public relations and publicity. People who complement to programme have the ability to manage interpersonal and corporate communication processes, internalize the values of communication ethics, are aware of the changes and developments in the occupation in both national and international platforms, have the skills to adapt these to the field, have the necessary knowledge on information communication technologies and have the ability of contemporary and analytical thinking.
