This programme was started to education in 1994 called Meat Industry and its evening programme was opened in 2005. Intake of students was stopped since few student prefer this programme in 2009. This programme aims to educate technician for Meat Industry. Education period is 2 years (4 semester).
History
Meat Industry programme was started to education in 1994 and its name is changed Meat and Meat Technology Programme in 2009. Evening programme was opened in 2005 since few students prefer evening Education in the academic year 2009-2010, evening education students transferred to the formal education. Formal education programme is continues its activity from 1994.
Mission
This program aims to educate person who have necessary professional information of obtaining, processing and marketing of meat which commonly consumed in Turkey according to regulations and food safety practices. and have social oriented.
Vision
Having similar programs in the vocational school to be preferred a ‘’brand program’’.Following and using the professional developments,recognizing the relevant industry,training the qualified staff preferred by the ındustry.By providing the most productive way of practical training,making the students equipped in every respect.In the future,the students are employed to ensure to keep the communication alive with businesses.
Purpose
Programme aims to educate a technicians who planning and management to slaughter of cattle, sheep/goat and poultry, shredding of carcass in the standard condition, producing of fresh and processed meat and meat products, packing, preserving and marketing.
Physical Infrastructure
Students are educated by lecturers in the vocational school and some expert persons who study out of the school. There are 1 slaughterhouse for catttle, small ruminant and poultry animals, 1 meat and meat products processing unit. Also, student can visit some meat factories.
Technical Infrastructure
1 meat and meat products processing unit. 1 slaughterhouse. various yools and equipments for meat processing.
