General Information
Education started in September 2013 at the department of Nutririon and Dietetcs. There are 5 lecturers and 2 teaching stuff at the department. Graduates can work at health establishments (privately own and state hospitals, policlinics, health centers, dialysis centres etc.), catering sector (food factories, hospitality management department of hotels, catering department of privately own and state establishments etc.), public health centres (mother-child helath centres, family health centres, orphanages and elderly care homes, sport centers etc.), food industry, research organizations, educational establishments and their private work places.
History
Our school of Health established by the protocol between Ministry of Health and Council of Higher Education in 1992 and Decision of the Council of the Ministers dated 10th October 1996 and no. 96/8655. education has started in the academic year of 2012-2014 by taking a total of 80 students-40 students for each first and second cycle education.
Mission
Prevention and improvement of public health by adequate and balanced nutririon during life time. Education of dietetians at international standarts. Providing education at international standarts and research and supervision facilities based on science and technology.
Vision
To be a national and an international known educational and research establishment. To produce scientific data which will contribute to healthy nutrition of public. To set up a reference nutrition laboratory at national and international standarts.
Purpose
Graduate qualified professional dietetians at national and international standarts. To contribute to public health and improvement of profession.
Physical Infrastructure
Aydın School of Health Sciences is located in a four floor building having a 3500 metersquare enclosed area. there are 1 amphie, 9 classrooms, 1 canteen, 1 cafeteria, 1 student/staff, dining room, 29 offices, and 4 service rooms.
Technical Infrastructure
Student Affairs System (OBIS), Academic Information System (AKBIS), Financial Budget System (e-budget), Chattel Registration and Tracking System (AYNI-PRO), Registration Automation System is in use at the school. There is a computer room for students. Computers and projectors are availabale in teaching in the classrooms. Photocopy facilities are available. A school library is available apart from central university library. Computers and an staff room are available for postgraduate students and teaching staff from other schools.
