The Department of Journalism will be conducted within the Adnan Menderes University Communication Faculty. The language of instruction is Turkish. There is no compulsory or optional preparatory class for the program. The Journalism Undergraduate Program will take advantage of the scientific, cultural and technological developments of today and even lead those developments. Journalism practices will also meet the ever-increasing need for well-trained and qualified human-recources in the field of work in the sector, with support for new media possibilities. The Journalism Undergraduate Program will contribute to the training of individuals who are contemporary, researcher, scientific, innovative and can compete with colleagues in developed countries.

As Adnan Menderes University Communication Faculty, Department of Journalism our mission is to educate the qualified and socially responsible journalists of the future, who are innovative and pioneer in their profession, provide accurate and impartial news to society, have knowledge and equipment that will keep pace with the speed of communication in the age, can lead and govern, mold public opinion, contemporary, libertarian, democratic and faithful to Ataturk's principles and reforms.
In our world where communication is important, our future vision is to educate our students by international standards and train them as who can understand their country and the world, enlightened, respectful to ethical values, contemporary, democratic, faithful to national values, can investigate and question.
Communication is crucial in terms of functions such as solving social problems, educating and informing society, developing culture, establishing healthy communication among individuals, ensuring peace and a more humane order in society. The rapidly growing communication sector is increasingly in need of qualified staff. The Adnan Menderes University Communication Faculty Journalism Program, first in the Aegean Region and then in the whole of Turkey, aims to train communicators who are able to imagine, research, produce, transform and transmit communication in an accurate and qualified manner, and produce solutions through social and ethical approaches to social problems. The program aims to enable students to follow mass media and professional developments and to make it easier for them to be employed.

There is also a 180 m² student studio, a 40 m² control room, a 30 sqm system room and a 40 sqm fiction unit on the third floor of the central classrooms building. The Faculty of Communication and Media Center will be under the same roof when the buildings specified in Adnan Menderes University's university macro plan are completed. Training and teaching will be continued in the unit where the radio studio and the television studio will be used as specially designed areas. In addition, 4 professional outdoor camcorders and 17 SLR cameras capable of video recording will be offered for use in the training sessions of the students. In addition to the 50 m² photography studio where all of these applications are to be carried out, 2 Mac computer lab is also ready for practical training, in which 40 students can apply at the same time. There was also a press room and an intellectual workshop.
In our library, there are rooms for the visually impaired, an internet lounge and a chess room. The Periodicals Service serves on the first floor of our library. We have 351 printed publications, 108 of which are paid and 243 are free of charge.
There are 38258 books, 623 theses, 417 CD + VCDs, and 87 books written in Braille alphabet in our library collection.
