Objectives of the Course

In this course, it is aimed to gain skills to differentiate mentally handicapped children, to understand which type of handicapped, to identify support needs of children by making developmental identify, to make developmental counseling for families and teachers of mentally handicapped children.

Definitions of intelligence and mental retardation, Causes of mental retardation, Types of mental retardation, Development of children who are mentally retarded, Education of children who are mentally retarded, developmental counseling for families and teachers of mentally handicapped children
