The greenhouse sector needs to be analyzed within the social state understanding and needs proactive approaches with risk perception due to its unique working conditions, the possibility of encountering sector-specific chemical, physical, hygienic and ergonomic risks and hazards, and different employee characteristics.
Information is given on safety culture in the greenhouse sector, risk assessment, employee participation, correct use of personal protective equipment, selection of appropriate and safe machinery, health surveillance, workplace order and safety, management of confined spaces, integrated management of chemicals and occupational accidents and occupational diseases in the sector.
