Objectives of the Course

Root, root metamorphoses, hypocotyl, stem, stem metamorphoses, leaf, anatomical structure of the leaf, parts of the leaf, leaf metamorphoses, leaf fall, flower, parts of the flower, flower types according to ovary states, flower organs and development, flower states, fruit, classification of fruits, seed, and parts of the seed. Metabolism Physiology (plant constituent elements, swelling, diffusion, osmosis, permeability). Water uptake, water loss (transpiration, loss of water in liquid form, importance of transpiration), Assimilation (photosynthesis, chemosynthesis), Growth and Development Physiology (vegetative development, generative development, periodicity), effective factors in plant development (temperature, light, water, gases, gravity, soil and cultural factors, vitamins, carbohydrates, fats, nitrogenous compounds, hormones, enzymes), resting, germination, shoot and rooting, crown dominance, flowering, sterility and incompatibility, parthenocarpy and apomixis, flower and fruit drop, aging, tropisms, vernelization and thermoperiodicity.

Course Content

Physiological and morphological characteristics of fruits, vegetables, ornamental plants, growth, development, and biochemical events that take place in the plant body are given information about.
