The aim of this course is to introduce the legal dimension of transactions made using information technologies, to explain crimes committed through information technologies and legal responsibilities in this area. It is aimed to provide students with basic legal knowledge against rights violations and disputes that may arise in digital environments.
This course covers legal regulations and practices related to information technologies. Basic topics such as internet law, cybercrimes, electronic evidence, personal data protection, electronic contracts and digital identity are examined. Legal frameworks related to information technologies are evaluated in the context of criminal law, private law and administrative law. In addition, international regulations are also included in addition to national legislation.
