Objectives of the Course

The aim of the course is to make the student have skill about animal production in the world and in Turkey, to learn the importance of animal products in the life of human, to learn the basic principles of livestock production, poultry production, honeybee breeding and sericulture.

Course Content

The importance of animal production, overview of animal production in the world and in Turkey, problems of animal production in Turkey, domestication of animals, concept of species and breed, reproduction in farm animals, lactation, environment and adaptation to environment, production of cattle, sheep, goat, poultry, honeybee and silkworm.
