Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to introduce students to the basic principles of ergonomics, to ensure that individuals working in the health field recognize ergonomic risks in terms of occupational health and safety, and to provide working habits appropriate to ergonomics.

Course Content

The course covers topics such as the fundamentals of ergonomics, the suitability of work environments to human anatomy, musculoskeletal diseases common in healthcare professionals, office ergonomics, patient transportation and equipment use. Students will gain the ability to protect their own health and increase patient safety by applying ergonomic principles.

1.To be able to explain the basic concepts and importance of ergonomics.

5.To be able to develop healthy working habits by establishing a relationship between occupational safety and ergonomics.
