To educate physiotherapy technicians qualified to work in field-related departments of public and private healthcare institutions

Aydın Vocational School of Health Services was established in 1992 by the decision of the Council of Ministers under the protocol signed between the Council of Higher Education and the Ministry of Health, and started its educational activities in the 1993–1994 academic year by admitting 30 students to the Midwifery Program. Within the Vocational School, the Physiotherapy Program under the Department of Therapy and Rehabilitation was established in the 2010–2011 academic year and began its educational activities by admitting its first students in the same year.

Our mission as Medical Services Vocational School is: To train the intermediate qualified people who will work in the field of health. They have below features: have received basic vocational education, have gained necessary skills of using of information and technology, will contribute to the assessment of national resources in the most efficient manner while taking into consideration the interests of the country, appropriate to expectations of employer, recognize and introduce the values of Turkish society. At the same time, to involve in activities to increase the public awareness by providing training and consulting services.

To educate students that are adaptive to the constantly changing and renewed global circumstances and technology, and that perceive the needs of the era and will adopt regional and national issues. It is also aimed to become a college which is preferred primarily in terms of the quality of education and training.

To train the technicians for the agencies and organizations such as public and private hospitals, clinics, laboratories providing services in the health area.

Our Vocational School temporarily operates on the ground floor of the Institutes Building. The Faculty of Science has temporarily allocated 2 laboratories to us. Our courses are held in the Aydın Menderes Classrooms and the Morphology Building of the Faculty of Medicine.

Students’ Affair System (OBIS), Academic Knowledge System (AKBIS), Budget Allocations System (e-Budget), Chattel Recording and Tracking System (KIND-PRO), the Registrar Automation System is used. There are twenty-eight Desktops, four Portable Computers, thirteen Printers, seven Projectors, one Slide machine, five Overheads, one Bar code reader, one Copy machine, two Scanners, and four microscopes in the unit.
