Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to adopt a healthy lifestyle and develop nutritional habits. Students will learn the habits necessary for a healthy life by being informed about topics such as healthy nutrition, physical activity, sleep patterns and stress management.

Course Content

This course aims to help students gain healthy lifestyle habits and develop a conscious approach to nutrition. The course will cover topics such as the basics of healthy nutrition, food groups, nutrients the body needs, portion control and balanced nutrition. In addition, the relationship between physical activity and nutrition, exercise for a healthy life, stress management, sleep patterns and environmentally friendly nutrition habits will be discussed. While students learn about nutritional needs according to age groups, they will discover the positive effects of a healthy lifestyle on personal health. In addition, the connection between common health problems (obesity, diabetes, heart diseases) and nutrition will be emphasized and healthy lifestyle recommendations will be presented to prevent these diseases
