Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to enable students to understand the fundamental effects of chemistry on health in daily life, to introduce the positive and negative impacts of chemical substances on human health, and to use basic chemical concepts and terms related to health correctly. Additionally, the course aims to help students comprehend the role of chemistry in common health issues and to raise awareness about chemical risks and safety measures in the health field.

Course Content

This course covers the basic effects of chemistry on daily life and health. Students will learn about the benefits and harms of chemical substances to human health and become familiar with fundamental chemical concepts and terms related to health. The role of chemistry in common health problems encountered in everyday life will be explained through various examples. Furthermore, chemical risks in the health sector and the safety precautions that can be taken against these risks will be discussed. The course aims to equip students with the knowledge to understand the relationship between health and chemistry, enabling them to live a conscious and safe life.
