Objectives of the Course

The purpose of this course is to provide medical imaging technicians with the skills to recognize common pathological findings in radiological images.

Course Content

Basic pathology concepts, radiological imaging techniques, principles and advantages of imaging methods according to pathology. Organ-based pathologies, systemic pathologies, cancer, infectious diseases, radiological findings of metabolic and degenerative diseases. Examination of radiological images based on real cases.

Name of Lecturer(s)
Lec. Halit KIZILET
Learning Outcomes
1.Recognizing frequently encountered pathological findings in X-rays, tomography, MRI and dental X-rays by considering them according to the modalities.
2.The analytical thinking skills of the medical imaging student are developed.
3.Determining the principles and advantages of different radiological imaging techniques
4.Recognizing organ-based and systemic pathological conditions.
5.The radiological pathology course will provide students with awareness of issues such as medical ethics and patient safety.
