Objectives of the Course

Getting informed about Classic Greek and Roman mythology and grasping the similarities and differences between Middle East and World mythoses of these mythoses.

Course Content

In this course, myhtos and logos concepts will be dealt in consideration of early written sources. The course will also discuss particularly Greek and Roman, Near East and world myths.

1.The students will gain the skill and knowledge about myths, and their evolution, similarities and differences.
2.Explain the myths of different cultures, change, similarities, differences and meanings to reveal and criticize
3.To have the knowledge and skills required by the profession
4.To be able to critically examine, develop and change social norms that have reached a level of general culture in harmony with their social environment and that are strong and guide social relations.
5. To know the emergence of myths in different cultures, historical changes and current situation
