Objectives of the Course

To provide the necessary knowledge and skills related to the commercial and technical management of port enterprises to the personnel who will work in port operations.

Course Content

Port and its importance, functions of ports, services provided in ports, port types, classification of ports, functions of ports, terminals, infrastructure and superstructure facilities in ports, port support systems and facilities, cargo handling in terms of physical distribution, institutions and organizations interacting with ports , port management and management in micro distribution system, ports and logistics management, cost and efficiency in port management, increasing efficiency in ports and capacity analysis, queue theorem and waiting queue model, port tariffs, effects of port costs on ship management.
