Objectives of the Course

Developing speaking, writing, reading, and listening comprehension skills in English at the beginner level. To advance students from the beginner level to the pre-intermediate level.

Course Content

This course is designed to equip students with the skills to understand and respond to dialogues and content they are likely to encounter in daily life when they are in environments where English is spoken. Within the scope of this course, topics such as introducing oneself and friends, greetings, the English alphabet, possessive adjectives, numbers, spelling names and numbers, writing names and numbers, asking and answering about the locations of objects, articles, yes-no questions, pronunciation of plural words ending with -s, and prepositions of place are covered.

Week 1 - Theoretical
Explanation and evaluation of the course's objectives and goals
Week 2 - Theoretical
Introducing yourself and your friends, greetings, possessive adjectives, numbers, spelling names and numbers, English alphabet.
Week 3 - Theoretical
Talking about cities and countries, the verb "To Be," affirmative and negative sentences, yes-no questions and short answers.
Week 4 - Theoretical
Possessive adjectives and possessive pronouns
Week 5 - Theoretical
Listening and writing exercises about clothes and colors, pronunciation of -s and -sh, conjunctions "but" and "and". Present Tense.
Week 6 - Theoretical
Asking and telling the time, time expressions. Present Tense Wh- questions, the conjunction "so," listening and writing exercises about time and actions
Week 7 - Theoretical
Describing daily routine tasks, talking about family members, Present Simple, time expressions, pronunciation of third person singular -s
Week 8 - Theoretical
Writing and listening exercises about daily activities
Week 9 - Theoretical
Speaking about the places we live, repetition of the Present Simple tense
