Objectives of the Course

The purpose of this course, to provide information to students about how it works intergovernmental relations, services and income distribution, and in particular the structure of local authorities about financial and administrative in Turkey.

Course Content

Central and local government: local governments justification for being. Characteristics of the relations between administrations. Intergovernmental revenues and services division. Several local authorities of Unitary and Federal countries. In Turkey, local authorities: municipalities, special provincial administrations and villages. Municipalities problems. The relationship between local government and local government banks. Local administrations, problems and solutions.
