Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to introduce students to the risks encountered in logistics processes and to teach the role of insurance in managing these risks. The course aims to provide knowledge on types of insurance, contract structures, damage procedures, and insurance practices in international transportation. It also aims to develop students’ abilities in conducting risk analysis and selecting appropriate types of insurance.

Course Content

This course covers the basic concepts, principles, types of insurance, and contract structures. It includes detailed examination of international transport types, risks in the transportation process, and insurance activities of logistics service providers. The course also addresses damage procedures, required documentation, Incoterms rules, and risk analysis practices.
