Objectives of the Course

With this course, students will gain proficiency in preparing skirts, blouses and dress patterns by draping technique

Course Content

To prepare basic skirt patterns with draping technique, to prepare asymmetric skirt pattern, to prepare basic body pattern, to prepare blouse pattern, to prepare the pattern of the dress

Definition of draping; History of draping; Points to consider when working with draping; Materials used in draping; General information about body proportions and measurements

Sewing of the developed skirt model

Preparation of basic upper body pattern by draping method

Model development with dart manipulation and fabric folding techniques
