Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to enable students to learn the basic concepts, principles, and preparation stages of radiographic examination; to recognize radiographic equipment; to understand the basic radiographic imaging techniques and positioning methods for different anatomical regions; and to develop an appropriate examination approach in accordance with patient safety and radiation protection principles.

Course Content

This course covers the definition, basic principles, and preparation stages of radiographic examination; radiographic equipment and image acquisition processes; and the basic imaging techniques and positioning methods used in skull, facial, vertebral, trunk, upper extremity, lower extremity, chest, and cardiac radiography. It also addresses patient safety, proper positioning, and the basic principles of radiation protection.
