Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to enable students to learn the basic principles of radiotherapy, treatment planning processes, simulation and immobilization applications; to understand the stages of treatment implementation; and to gain knowledge about the side effects of radiotherapy, their management, and current developments in the field.

Course Content

This course covers the basic principles of radiotherapy, radiotherapy techniques and treatment planning, simulation applications, immobilization methods, individualized block procedures, clinical radiotherapy applications, implementation of the treatment plan, side effects of radiotherapy and their management, the relationship between surgical oncology and radiation oncology, immunological effects of radiation, and current research and developments in the field of radiotherapy.
