History
With the decision taken at the meeting of the Higher Education Executive Board dated 16.03.1993, Söke Vocational School of Health Services was opened in the 1994-1995 academic year. With the decision taken at the meeting of the Higher Education Executive Board dated 13.04.2011, the Operating Room Services Program was opened under the Department of Medical Services and Techniques in the 2011-2012 academic year. With the decision taken at the meeting of the General Assembly of Higher Education dated 25.05.2011, formal education started with a quota of 30 students in the 2011-2012 academic year.
Mission
The Operating Room Services Program aims to train qualified personnel with the knowledge and skills required by the health sector by providing training at an international level and in parallel with the developments in health, and to provide the necessary training environment for this.
Vision
Considering that the field of study is human health, it is to be a college that can foresee all problems in health technicians, research and produce knowledge, is shown as an example at national and international levels and is honored to be a member.
Purpose
Program Educational Aims (PEA) PEA 1. Our graduates identify the operating room environment and the surgical equipment used in this setting. PEA 2. Our graduates explain and competently perform the preparation of the operating room before, between, and after surgical procedures. PEA 3. Our graduates describe and apply sterilization and disinfection techniques in accordance with professional standards. PEA 4. Our graduates adapt to scientific and technological developments in the field, engage in continuous learning, and act in accordance with professional and ethical principles.
Physical Infrastructure
Our unit is located in Söke District and provides education and training services in the Söke Faculty of Business Administration building.
Technical Infrastructure
There are no smart classrooms in our school yet. On the other hand, the models and disposable materials we purchased for the Skills Laboratory with the support of the BAP Project for two consecutive years and with which we carried out the second and third level simulation applications were acquired in order to improve the learning skills of the students and were included in the curriculum of the relevant courses.
