Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to enable students to learn about the basic characteristics of microorganisms, their modes of transmission, and infectious diseases, as well as the fundamental principles of infection prevention and control.

Course Content

This course covers the classification, structure, and characteristics of microorganisms, as well as the basic groups of microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. It also examines the transmission routes of infectious diseases, the immune system, and methods of infection prevention. Furthermore, the course evaluates fundamental approaches to sterilization, disinfection, and infection control practices.
