Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to provide students with theoretical knowledge about the fundamental concepts of anesthesia, anesthesia methods, patient assessment processes, and anesthesia procedures, and to develop clinical reasoning skills related to the anesthesia process.

Course Content

Definition and historical development of anesthesia, pre-anesthetic patient assessment, anesthesia methods (general, regional, and local anesthesia), steps of general anesthesia, patient preparation, patient positioning, monitoring, complications that may occur during and after anesthesia, and post-anesthesia patient follow-up processes.
