Objectives of the Course

It is aimed for the student to have knowledge about the importance, principles and safe drug use of rational drug use, to be aware of and prevent irrational drug applications.

Course Content

Within the scope of the course, information will be given about basic concepts and components in drug applications, rational drug use, the role of health professionals in rational drug use, rational drug use in the world and in Turkey, and rational drug use in special patient groups.

1.Ability to explain basic information regarding the safe and effective administration of medications
2.To be able to explain the importance of rational drug use.
3.To be able to list the roles of health professionals in rational drug practices.
4.To be able to express the characteristics of rational drug use in special groups (children, pregnant, elderly).
5.To be able to count the causes and consequences of irrational drug use.
