Objectives of the Course

The objective of this course is to enable students to recognize surgical conditions affecting various systems and the types of surgeries performed for these conditions, to provide knowledge regarding the role of the operating room team in surgical procedures, and to instill an understanding of the fundamental approaches necessary for patient safety. Additionally, the course aims to help students distinguish conditions requiring surgical intervention and develop a comprehensive perspective on the surgical process.

Course Content

This course covers surgical procedures for the urogenital system, eye diseases and surgery, and diseases of the ear, nose, and sinuses. Surgical treatment approaches for gastrointestinal system diseases and endocrine system surgeries are discussed in detail. Additionally, the course covers plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgical procedures, as well as organ transplantation processes, including their indications and contraindications. Throughout the course, surgical procedures involving various systems are evaluated from a comprehensive perspective, taking into account operating room practices and patient management.
