Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to enable students studying in the health field to correctly understand, interpret, and use medical terminology. The goal is for students to learn fundamental Latin and Greek-derived terms used in healthcare and to gain the ability to use correct terminology in clinical practice.

Course Content

This course covers fundamental concepts of medical terminology, the structure of medical terms (roots, prefixes, and suffixes), basic medical terms related to body systems, and common concepts used in the healthcare field. The course aims to equip students in operating room services, home patient care, and medical imaging techniques programs with the skills to correctly read, write, and interpret medical terms they will encounter in their professional training.
