Objectives of the Course

The main purpose of this course is to provide competencies in the basic principles of first aid, basic life support, first aid applications in injuries, fractures-dislocations-sprains and other emergency situations

Course Content

Basic application of first aid First and second assessment Basic life support on adults Basic life support on children and babies First aid at respiratory tract occlusion External and internal bleeding Scar and variety of scar First aid at local injuries, head and spine fractures First aid at upper extremity fractures,dislocations and sprains First aid at hip and lower extremity fractures, dislocations and sprains First aid at requiring emergency care disease Poisoning, heat-stroke, burnt and freezing First aid at taking foreign body

Learning Outcomes
1.Explains the fundamental principles and concepts of first aid and interprets their importance in emergency situations.
2.Analyzes primary and secondary assessment processes and evaluates the condition of a patient or injured person systematically.
3.Describes the principles and procedural steps of basic life support for adults, children, and infants according to current guidelines.
4.Differentiates types of bleeding, injuries, fractures, dislocations, and sprains and determines appropriate first aid approaches.
5.Evaluates airway obstructions and other emergency conditions (such as poisoning, burns, and hypothermia) and selects appropriate first aid interventions.
