Objectives of the Course

This course is intended for students to be able to recognize substances used in addictive levels that threaten humanity, be able to understand the effects of these substances on human health, substance can provide care for individuals with dependents.

Course Content

Concepts related to substance abuse, etiyolojisis, epidemiology, history. Addictive substances: cigarettes, alcohol, marijuana, opioids, inhalants, amphetamines, barbiturates. The effects of the substance, withdrawal symptoms, treatment. preventive measures in the community.

The causes of substance abuse, risk groups, the individual symptoms, epidemiology
Week 4 - Theoretical
Nicotine: Epidemiology, addiction, withdrawal symptoms, effects and side effects, clinical symptoms, treatment

Alcohol: the history, pharmacological effects, the neural effects, effects on physical health, disorders caused by alcohol
