Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to ensure that healthcare professionals working in home patient care are knowledgeable about professional ethical principles, patient rights, professional responsibilities, and deontological rules; and to contribute to the development of ethical decision-making skills in providing care services.

Course Content

Concepts of ethics and morality, professional ethics and deontology, ethical principles in healthcare, patient rights, responsibilities of healthcare professionals, confidentiality and privacy, ethical dilemmas and ethical decision-making processes, ethical issues in home care, ethical approaches in elderly and chronically ill patients, ethical responsibilities within a team, and professional conduct standards
