Objectives of the Course

It aims to explain and use practices to increase the quality of life in individuals who need patient care at home, and to gain occupational skills that can be done to prevent the patient from being affected emotionally and psychologically during the idle time.

Course Content

Basic principles and planning in occupation therapy, introduction of materials, activities related to fine arts, houseplant cultivation and care, pet feeding and care, neurodevelopmental treatment methods, occupational therapies that can create economic value.

Learning Outcomes
1.Explains the fundamental concepts, objectives, and applications of occupational therapy in home care settings.
2.Selects and plans psychomotor, cognitive, and recreational activities appropriate to the physical, psychological, and social needs of individuals requiring home care.
3.Analyzes and explains occupational therapy practices aimed at improving activities of daily living, mobility, and fine motor skills.
4.Integrates ergonomic, biomechanical, and neurodevelopmental approaches into the home care process within occupational therapy practice.
5.Considers patient safety, ethical principles, and occupational health regulations in occupational therapy practices and plans activities that support social rehabilitation.
