Eliminating the vital danger of the patient or injury, ensuring the maintenance of vital functions, preventing the worsening of the condition of the patient or the injured and facilitating healing are the primary intervention goals.
It is the first intervention to be done by taking advantage of environmental facilities to medical treatment of anyone suddenly ill or accident. For this purpose, all practices that make it easier to keep alive, maintain and improve vital functions during the period up to the nearest health facility.
