Taking measures to prevent possible crises, eliminating the factors that may cause a crisis, producing solutions, crisis management, sharing solutions and developments with the target audience constitute the subject of crisis communication. It is aimed to examine all these details about the crisis within the scope of this course.
A crisis is a special situation that threatens an organization's goals, jeopardizes the organization's existence, and requires an organization to react quickly. The most distinctive feature of the crisis is that it occurs at an unexpected time. During the crisis, the reputation of the organization is damaged and the time for resolution is very limited. Crisis communication, on the other hand, is the whole of the communication strategy and tactics to be followed in the crisis period. In other words, taking measures to prevent possible crises, eliminating the factors that may cause a crisis, producing solutions, crisis management, sharing solutions and developments with the target audience constitute the subject of crisis communication. All these details about the crisis will be discussed in this course.
