Objectives of the Course

To ensure that students use Turkish correctly, effectively and understandably, to acquire basic diction elements such as correct use of voice, stress, intonation and articulation, and to develop their skills in speaking in front of a crowd and expressing their thoughts in an orderly manner.

Course Content

It aims to ensure that students use Turkish correctly, effectively and understandably. Diction skills such as correct breathing, effective use of voice, emphasis, intonation, and articulation are acquired. Public speaking skills are developed; speaking anxiety is reduced. Necessary techniques for successful and confident expression in oral presentations are taught.

Learning Outcomes
1.It discusses the definition and importance of diction, and the fundamentals of oral communication.
2.It distinguishes between correct breathing techniques and voice usage.
3.It distinguishes between producing sounds correctly and clearly.
4.Emphasis, intonation, and melody are used correctly in narration to reinforce meaning.
5.It identifies the correct tempo, pauses, and rhythm techniques for effective speaking.
6.Common speech disorders are identified, and methods for correction are discussed.
