Objectives of the Course

Introducing the pests in the vegetables, knowing the damage patterns, biology and control methods will be explained.

Course Content

The visual identification of biomarkers, biology and control methods, which are common in vegetable crops in our country and which can be encountered practically in plants; Laboratory diagnosis of pests.

1.1. To learn the basic information about the recognition of pests in vegetables and the ability to make decision in the control
2.2. To have the ability to develop control strategies to protect human health according to the parts of plant.
3.3. To learn the practices that will keep the natural balance in the control methads in plants.
4.4. To develop skills in the prevention of pesticide residues in vegetables.
5.Learns the determination of economic damage threshold in vegetable pests.
