Objectives of the Course

The goal is to provide students with macro and market economy information at entry level and to improve their ability to analyze various economic policies and approaches of students.

Course Content

Definition and measurement of macroeconomic quantities, purchasing power parity and the Big Mac Index, economic growth and development, actual and fundamental causes of prosperity, work and unemployment, balance in credit markets.

1.Recognise basic macroeconomic concepts.
2.Learn national income calculation methods.
3.Know the similarities and differences between the GDP deflator and the consumer price index.
4.Learn per capita income according to purchasing power parity and total production function.
5.Learn what economic growth means.
6.Recognize the causes of welfare.
7.Learn the causes and types of unemployment.
8.Understand the relationship between credit supply and demand curve.
9.Learn the functions of money, money supply, the speed of money circulation, the quantity theory of money.
