The aim of this course, to povide for students gaining experience and data on plant origined substances used in cosmetic formulations with its usage purpose, authenticity and to be able to recognize and evaluate the herbal substances in cosmetic products.

General definitons on cosmetics; conditions that effect the activity on plants; essential oils, fixed oils, extracts, resins, tars, tinctures, distilled aromatic waters and isolated compounds used in phytocosmetics; Evaluating plants used in phytocosmetic products such as antiaging preparations, sun preparations, antihairloss preparations, hair care preparations, hair removal preparations, cellulite preparations, acne preparations, vitiligo preparations.
