Objectives of the Course

To inform the student about the legislation regarding commonly used traditional and complementary medicine practices; To enable the student to gain theoretical knowledge about the basic concepts and practices related to traditional and complementary medicine practices.

Course Content

The course covers an introduction to traditional and complementary medicine (TCM) systems, including examples of practices in Turkey and around the world, relevant legislation, and ethical approaches. It provides theoretical knowledge and basic applications of TCM methods. Specific practices discussed include cupping therapy, ozone applications, music therapy, acupuncture, phytotherapy, hypnosis, mesotherapy, apitherapy, and reflexology.
