Objectives of the Course

To educate students on advanced level podology applications

Course Content

Medical foot care and monitoring includes dermatological, musculoskeletal, circulatory, and sensory examinations of the foot. Nail disorder care. Callus and wart treatment and care, foot support products and pressure relief applications, wound care and dressing applications. Debridement procedures.

Learning Outcomes
1.It defines medical foot care and performs care according to aseptic principles.
2.It accurately describes dermatological, musculoskeletal, vascular, and sensory examination methods of the foot.
3.They can distinguish between different milling cutters and make the right decision about which one to use and how.
4.It can distinguish between calluses and warts and provide treatment.
5.Makes ingrown nail care applications treatment
