Within the scope of this course; to enable students to gain an understanding beyond the individual-oriented approach in the field of mental health; demonstrate the links between the field of mental health and social, political and economic conditions; It is aimed to introduce examples of community psychology practice and to raise awareness of the importance of large-scale intervention approaches.
Historical background of community psychology; basic concepts and principles of community psychology; prevention and intervention approaches; effects of stigma and prevention of stigmatization, the relationship between social problems (poverty, racism, etc.) and mental health, sexual orientation and mental health, critical community psychology.
