Objectives of the Course

The aim of the course is to enable students to understand the factors underlying the behavior of individuals and to bring psychological explanations to various human behaviors by making them comprehend how human beings are handled and examined in psychology as a scientific field.

Course Content

In general, it includes the definitions of psychology, the methods it uses, its professional fields and the titles of the study subjects.

Learning Outcomes
1. Knows the difference between psychology as a science and other disciplines as well as its scientific methods and application areas.
2. Comprehends the differences between basic theoretical approaches in the historical development of psychology.
3.Knows the links between human behavior and physiological processes.
4.Recognizes and explains the concepts and processes of consciousness, sensation, perception, motivation, and development.
5.Knows the general issues about assesment in psychology.
