Within the scope of this course, it is aimed to comprehend the historical background, basic concepts and methods of family therapy, to explain the basic schools of family therapy, to introduce evaluation, intervention and prevention practices in couple and family therapy.

Historical background, basic concepts, methods and schools of family therapy (Bowen family therapy, Strategic family therapy, Structural family therapy, Experiential family therapy, Psychoanalytic family therapy and Cognitive - Behavioral family therapies), assessment, intervention and prevention and treatment in family and couple therapies and recent related studies.
