The course objectives are to know the ancient Aegean and Meditarranean world in the geometric period (900-700 BCE. ), political and historical background; to learn the art of geometric period, typology and chronology; production centers and analogy between them; to learn the technics of productions; to know the geometric pottery in Anatolia and products.
Geometric period social and political events, ancient writers, geometric period art, ceramic production in geometric period, origins and propagation, excavations and researches in geometric ceramic centers, publications, local productions, similarities and differences in production between centers, geometric ceramic typology and chronology, production techniques, geometric ceramic centers and interactions in Anatolia.
