Objectives of the Course

The aim of the course is to the political, economic and social aspects of "Orientalizing Period" in Aegean and Meditarranean cultures ; to know the art of Orientalizing Period and especially pottery production; colonization in Orientalizing Period; typology and chronology , forms, techniques, decorations; surveys and excavations; publications of this period.

Course Content

Oryantalizing Period and Oreintalizing Art; origins and development; ancient civilizations, surveys and excavations, publications. The pottery of orientalizing period, forms, decoration, colors, stylistic developments; Orientalizing pottery and other materials in Anatolia, analogy.
