Objectives of the Course

To know he economic, political and hşistorical aspects of Hellenistic period. Hellenistic civilizations and hellenistic Art especially pottery production and other materias (glass, metals). Hellenistic potteries, production techniques, decoration, typology and chronology; publications of Hellenistic potteries,; to know the Hellenistic civilizations, surveys, excavations and bibliography.

Course Content

The social, political and historic aspects of Hellenistic period. Hellenistic Art and materials (pottery, glass and metals); Hellenistic pottery production and their characteristics; typology, chronology, forms, decoration and stylistic developments; excavations, surveys and bibliography.
