Objectives of the Course

To have knowledge about tomb types, burial traditions, regional and chronological differences in Antiquity.

Course Content

The types of tombs and burial traditions used by ancient societies will be examined.

1.Can explain the phenomenon of death and the existence of the cult of the dead in ancient societies with archaeological data.
2.Gains knowledge of the cult of the dead and rituals in ancient societies and compares the burial traditions in the period in question and gains knowledge about the belief system of the society.
3.Gains knowledge of the cult of the dead and rituals of ancient societies.
