Objectives of the Course

The objective of this course is to provide knowledge about the use of genetic testing to identify the presence of hereditary diseases or the likelihood of developing such diseases in humans, and to discuss the relationship between genetic diagnosis and ethics.

Course Content

Genetic diagnosis refers to the direct or indirect investigation of whether an individual carries a gene defect (mutation) responsible for a specific disease. This course will cover genetic diagnostic tests and address their advantages and disadvantages in detail.
