This course aims to provide a concise introduction to genetic material, bioinformatics, and gene analysis; to define biobanks and their various types; and to deliver comprehensive knowledge on biobanks, associated ethical practices, and biobank applications both in Türkiye and globally.
By the end of this course, students will be able to define concepts of genetic material and bioinformatics, explain gene analysis techniques, list types and functions of biobanks, recognize ethical practices related to biobanks, and gain knowledge about biobank applications in Türkiye and worldwide.
