Objectives of the Course

Experimental demonstration of metabolic events in the plant is the purpose of this course.

Course Content

General information on preparation of solutions used in experiments, water uptake experiments, determination of osmotic potential of plant tissues, determaination of selective permeability of cell membranes, water loss experiments, photosynthesis, respiration and fermentation experiments

Learning Outcomes
1.The student acquires basic information about the preparation of various chemical components used in plant physiology experiments.
2.Obtain information about diffusion and factors affecting diffusion
3.Obtains experimental and observational information about osmosis
4.Obtain experimental and observational information about water potential in plant tissues.
5.Obtains experimental information about the swelling phenomenon within the scope of the plant-water relationship.
6.Obtains information based on experiment and observation about water loss events within the scope of plant-water relationship.
7.Obtains detailed experimental and observational information about photosynthesis.
8.Obtains detailed experimental and observation-based information about the fermentasyon and respiratory phenomenon.
